My Run of Form a Result of Hard Work — Ezenwa

By Daily Sports on March 15, 2019

Katsina United goaltender, Ikechukwu Ezenwa has credited his recent run of form and NPFL heroics to hard work and God’s help.

Ezenwa who has been a regular inclusion in Gernot Rohr’s Super Eagles set-up also expressed happiness at getting back to playing regular football. The 30-year-old had in the last two domestic league fixtures; away to Lobi Stars and Rivers United, put up outstanding performances that earned him the Man of the Match award. Ezenwa speaking with npfl.ng said, “First of all, I have to thank God for giving me the strength for these performances. “I came to this club to play so it is good to be playing and doing what I know how to do best. It has not been quite easy but there is a lot at stake for my career so I have to be at my professional best.” “I will attribute my good form to hard work and of course God has been helping. Also, you cannot remove the motivation of doing well to show that my invitation to the national team is not a fluke. You know that very soon, I will be going to the camp now so it is important I keep doing well,” added Ezenwa. Ezenwa is part of Nigeria’s 23-man squad that will face Egypt and Seychelles in the international friendly window.  (Vanguard)
