CJN: Who is Ishaku Balogun Et al Speaking For?

By Victor Enyinnaya on December 5, 2022

You see one had wanted to dismiss the ongoing unwarranted attack on the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), His Lordship Hon Justice Olukayode Ariwoola GCON, since his visit to Rivers State to commission two landmark Judicial buildings built, furnished and handed over to that arm of government by the very dynamic governor of the State, Governor Nysom Ezenwo Wike CON, GSSRS, Life Bencher.

For the records, Hon Justice Ariwola commissioned first the Federal Judicial Service Commission Liaison Office, South- South and part ll that same day the Justice Mary Odili Judicial Institute and this columnist was among the august audience that witnessed both events held on Friday, November 25, 2022 for that epoch making event. No pretence, the write-up in all ramifications is in defence of the Chief Judge of Nigeria, Hon. Justice Olukayode Ariwoola GCON who APC is currently blackmailing. APC cannot succeed in its bid to swell the people to hate or portray the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Olukayode Ariwoola GCON in bad light, never again.

To be honest with you, I had wanted not to comment on this subject matter since it was first reported and subsequent comments; then I was provoked to comment on these noises on CJN remarks at the above said function.

Now what has been trending since that assignment leaves soured taste in the mouth and typical of Nigerian thing, even if you cough most people read political meaning into it especially those who are not sure of themselves?

Let me make it abundantly clear that I don’t’ have anything against anybody having or expressing his or her political view (s) because Nigeria is in democratic rule.  However, what turns my stomach worst is when such people leave the crux of the word to engage in trivialities which can be soundly described as an ill wind that would blow nobody any good. Such, no doubt, is the handiwork of haters and political jobbers whose job is to drag honourable men’s names to the mud. That is just the job they are positioned by political parties to do in order to destroy who ever their target may be.

What Nigerians are eager to hear or see from Buhari/APC depressed government is good governance where Nigerians will get great reprieve from the dungeon which Buhari/APC government has plunged the citizens presently, not distraction of a sing-song, calling for the resignation of the CJN.

Hon. Justice Olukayode Ariwoola is harmless as he does his judicial functions as provided by the Nigerian constitution.

I will like to also say here that, I have not met the CJN before and as such any accusation of any sort by these fake/paid groups masquerading as civil society groups are only but enriching their pockets as usual. Many people know their activities. We all saw different groups run up to 2015 elections what they did to bring down PDP government. It is their stock in trade and Nigerians are keenly watching.

Among all these ranting from the political jobbers was the obvious sponsored group led by Ishaku Balogun that marched to the Senate last week to submit ‘whatever’ to the leadership of the Senate where he sang his master’s song.

Reading his lips like others before him, he gave himself out while singing praises of Senate President and sundry.  He could not vividly hold firlm on whatever he was accusing the CJN of.   To be honest with you, I became ashamed to watch him. His face betrayed his purpose and intentions. All you would see all over him was the face of a liar and a hatchet man on mission to destroy a harmless individual who was invited to Rivers State to perform a function which fell directly under his jurisdiction.

Ishaku Balogun without much ado was on mission for his aid master. Pointing accusing hands on CJN that he made political statements to say the least has no sustenance whatsoever. That very man who sent him ought to concentrate  fully on his campaign square and forget about this kind of name calling politics as Nigerians and their teeming youths are not interested in this kind of diversion of attention this time around.

Both informed political watchers and other scholars knew where these are coming from and therefore advise them to engage in better part time than spreading these hate speeches on the CJN Ariwola GCON.

The same people masterminded the removal of the former Chief Justice of Nigeria, Walter S. Nkanu Onnoghen GCON with flimsy charges. This script by Balogun and his likes are well known in the public domain and would not work this time around. Ishaku must be told in clearer terms that such era is gone for good. Nobody would this time bring up trumped lies against the person of the current Chief Justice of Nigeria Hon Justice Olukayode Ariwoola and thinks such would hold water again.

Ishaku should be man enough to tell his master to be bold to face Nigerians and tell them what his party has impacted on the lives of Nigerians in the past seven years plus that would prompt their votes again for that party many have vividly described as party of doom.

His master must forthwith abandon this old fashioned dirty politics of coming to power through the back door. Ishaku Balogun and his master should know that Nigeria of 2014 never obtains presently. Nobody wants their distraction. Nigerians are much interested on who will change the present callous situation APC/Buhari plugged the citizens into, Balogun’s master being the pilot of all these avoidable pains and sufferings Nigerians are passing through today.

Therefore calling for the removal or resignation of the CJN is never one of the problems confronting the populace. In short it is a non issue in the calculations of Nigerian voters today who are going through hell each day due to cluelessness of Buhari/APC regime and that is where the likes of Ishaku Balogun want us to be hook and crook again after 2023 elections. God forbid. Never again!

To put the records straight, I don’t know what APC will be campaigning with after this mess in its seven plus years in office. To put it mildly the kind of debt burden Buhari/APC plugged Nigeria into is better imagined than described.

APC out of desperate quest for power engaged in both internal and external propaganda and brought down a strong and purposeful PDP government led by former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan. My mind is so strong that all those who played that infamous role which finally brought the entire country and her people on her knees today, 2023 will be a pay back time no doubt about that. No level of antics off points here and there would save them from ultimate humiliation in the forthcoming election.

Pointedly Chief Justice of Nigeria should not be brought into their mess. Recall that the man behind these sponsored demonstrations and other gatherings against Hon. Justice Olukayode Ariwoola GCON dug the very ditch he is about to fall into and so must distance himself from the Hon. Chief Judge of Nigeria and face the bitter music he created for himself way back 2014/2015 when he went for that propaganda ridden campaigns against the then incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan including their different roles in Chibok students disappearance despite security warnings.

APC used trumped charges against former Chief Judge of Nigeria, Hon. Justice W.S. Nkanu Onnoghen. GCON in 2019.  Surely they will gather but their gathering will be in vain against Hon. Justice Olukayode Ariwoola.

This columnist calls on Nigerians to be vigilant this time as APC master election riggers and dubious men have started sponsoring groups and individuals against Nigerians holding sensitive offices like what is going on now against the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Hon. Justice Olukayode Ariwoola.

These people are crying woof where there is none. This person sponsoring anti- CJN chants have been using other illicit means to create fears that the election will not hold hence he and his cohorts have sold Interim government option.

Nigerians are keenly watching their nefarious activities so far.  Forward with Hon. Chief Justice of Nigeria Olukayode Ariwoola. I pray these desperate groups will not drag Nigerians to rise in anger against the few who brought the present misery to Nigerians.

As we keep eye on the ball on this Hon. Olukayode Ariwoola GCON Chief Judge of Nigeria issue, meanwhile we wait!!
