Wikki Tourists Football Club of Bauchi has declared 17 days break, to enable the players rest and prepare for the 2021/2022 National Professional Football League (NPFL) season.

Malam Abdullahi Ibrahim, the Secretary of the Club, disclosed this at a meeting of stakeholders and players of the club on Monday, in Bauchi.

He said the management would ensure that training resumed in earnest to prepare for next season as registration by the League management company (LMC) for clubs has begun.

“Wikki FC has closed its camp for the season and given 17-day break from Thursday, 12th August 2021 to Sunday 29th August 2021,” he said

He said the management of Wikki Tourists FC appreciated the players for the services rendered particularly, during the out gone 2020/2021 (NPFL) season.

In a remark, Alhaji Balarabe Douglas, the Chairman of the Club, said the club planned to recruit more tested players for the next season, to complement the efforts of those in the team for optimal club performance.

He reminded the players of the importance of discipline, commitment and hard work to any meaningful achievement.

Douglas also commended the Gov. Bala Muhammed for providing all the necessary support to the club that encouraged the club to put up a good performance. (NAN)
