Super Eagles Ranked 19th Most Valuable National Team, Valued At €216.65m

Nigerian Super Eagles have been ranked among the top 20 Most Valuable National Teams in the world.

According to Transfermarket, the three-time African champions are the 19th most valuable team in the world with a valuation in the region of €216.65 million.

The Nigeria senior side are the second most valuable team on the continent of Africa, just behind fellow West African nation, Senegal, with a monetary valuation of €319.78m.

The Three Lions of England are rated as the Most Valuable National Team in the world with a staggering monetary valuation of €1.12 billion ahead of second-placed France.

Brazil is third with a market value of €913.60m, Spain ranked fourth with €735.40m value while Germany, Belgium, Italy, Argentina, Portugal and the Netherlands are in the top ten.

Victor Osimhen is Nigeria’s most expensive player following his record move to Napoli.

The Nigerian forward joined the Neapolitan outfit for an initial €71.2 million, with a further €10.1 million guaranteed and in addition, he took the overall fee to €81.3 million, according to French newspaper, L’Equipe.

He is followed by Leicester City midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi whose market value increased by as high as €9million, from €36m to €45m. Ndidi had participated in 120 Premier League games under his belts across four seasons, scoring six goals. He finished second, both as EPL’s top tackler and best interceptions this season. (VON)
