Katsina United under the new chairman, Prince Abdulssamad Badamasi, climax their pre-season tour ahead of the 2019/2020 NPFL season as they trade tackles with other participating teams in the third edition of the prestigious Ahlan Preseason Tournament scheduled to hold in Kano from today, Sunday, October 6, 2019, to October 13.

The Changi Boys have so far enjoyed a good run under new gaffer, Henry Makinwa, convincingly defeating the likes of Rarara FC, Samba FC, Funtua Sharks FC and Dadinkowa Football Academy. However, Ahlan Preseason Tournament, which features some big clubsides, is expected to provide them with a bigger task.

Coach Makinwa, who is still trying to make the players blend with his philosophy, has made it clear that his team is still a work in progress.

“Even though we have done well thus far, my team is still a work in progress,” he declared, adding: “I am working very hard to ensure that the boys adapt quickly to my philosophy and style of play and am very glad they are really learning fast.

“Gradually we will get there. The attitude and character of the players is very positive and it's a good plus for me because it makes my work easier.”
