Kano Pillars Football Club of Kano newly signed player Kelly Kester is confident of a positive outing with the 2019 Aiteo Cup champions.

The lanky defensive midfielder who recently put pen to paper for the Kano landlords is keen of a positive outing with his new team.

“I signed for Kano Pillars FC to add value to the team because they are ambitious and organised to get good results. It is also another opportunity for me to continue my career and pursue my dreams as a footballer,” he said.

Kelly Kester, who is 27 years old, had previously played for clubs like Enyimba, Akwa United and most recently Lobi Stars of Makurdi.

The Edo State-born midfielder is a well-known figure in the NPFL and his experience in the league with top clubs as well as in the continental league, will be an added advantage to his new club.

“I will add my own quota to the progress of the team having played against the team in the past seasons I know what is expected from me also I understand the terrain very well so with the passionate Kano pillars fans, other quality players in the team we are capable of something tangible at the end of the season,” he said.

Kelly Kester, who is fondly called “Ballon” by friends, is a delight to behold in the pitch with his towering height, good passes and calmness on the ball.
