Breaking News: D’Tigress beat Greece to qualify FIBA World Cup quarter-final

D’Tigress becomes the first African team to qualify for the quarter-final of the FIBA Women’s World Cup following their hard-fought 57-56 win against Greece, and the First African team to win 3 straight games in the FIBA Women’s World Cup.

Nigeria will play USA in the quarter-final on Friday.

The US are the leading basketball nation in the world. When they met at the World Women Championship in September 2006, US won 79-46.

Promise Amukamara bagged 13 points, three rebounds and two steals.

Ezinne Kalu on her part scored 14 points, seven rebounds and three steals.

Evelyn Akhator scored double, 14 points 13 rebounds, two assists and four steals.
