Wilder mocks Joshua on father's day

By Daily Sports on June 18, 2018

WBC heavyweight champion of the world Deontay Wilder has sent a message to Anthony Joshua and Eddie Hearn on Father’s Day.

Negotiations are ongoing from what the latest reports suggest for the mega heavyweight showdown between Wilder and Hearn.

But things have gone quite in recent days. Sometimes that can be a very good sign, though.

What we do now at this point is that a contract was promised by Eddie Hearn to have been sent by last Friday at the latest to Wilder and his team.

Hearn has not commented on the subject of the fight all weekend mind you.

Wilder has now brought out a video on Instagram mocking Joshua and Hearn – suggesting that they turned down his $50 million offer.

It’s hard to tell what is exactly going on but in terms of being hopeful for a fight to be made, this doesn’t inspire a lot of confidence:

The clock is ticking now and you’d have to think a decision on whether the fight will happen next up for both guys needs to be made by next week at the latest.

Mandatory challenger for Joshua, Alexander Povetkin of Russia, will also need an answer from Joshua in terms of knowing if he is fighting him next up. (Boxing News and Views)
