Udoji's death: Nigeria Pillar of Sports, Ejidike condoles Kano Pillars

The sudden demise of veteran Nigerian professional football league player, Chinedu Udoji has been described as shocking and devastating blow to the Nigerian football fraternity.

Nigeria Pillar of Sports, Chief Donatus Agu Ejidike, J. P made the statement in a condolence message to the Kano Pillars Football Club and the entire football family in Nigeria.

Chief Ejidike said that Chinedu Udoji is one of the very few professional players who has promoted the round leather game beyond ethnic boundaries by trading tackles in the far north having carved a niche for himself in Enyimba Football Club in Aba.

The football philanthropist noted that such a great player is a blessing to the Nigerian league and losing him to the cold hand of death is heart breaking.

He condoled the management, players, and supporters of Kano Pillars even as he extended the condolences to Enyimba FC and football ruling authority in Nigeria. He prayed that God gives the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

Nigeria Pillar of Sports, Ejidike called on the management of Kano Pillars and the Nigeria League Management Company to accord the late player a befitting burial.

It would be recalled that the Kano Pillars defender and former Captain of Enyimba FC, 28 year -old Udoji died on Sunday night February 18 in Kano in an accident after a league encounter .
