Super Eagles maintain position in FIFA ranking

Nigeria stay unmoved at number 51 in the latest Fifa rankings for the month of January released on Thursday.

The Super Eagles were adjudged the same rank in the world according to December 2017 rating.

Consequently, Nigeria stay ninth in Africa behind Tunisia, Senegal, Egypt, Morocco, Congo DR, Burkina Faso, Cameroon and Ghana.

Tunisia remain at the summit of African football with 991 points which put them in the 23rd position in the world while African champions Cameroon are seventh in Africa and ranked 45th in the world.

Germany sit at the summit of a motionless top ten, while Iceland moved two places up to enter the top 20.

The next Fifa World Ranking will be published on 15 February 2018.
