NPFL tough time over for El-Kanemi — Mathias

By Daily Sports on March 18, 2018

El-Kanemi Warriors attacking midfielder, Samuel Mathias, has said his side tough time is over with the first away point at newcomers, Kwara United in the top-flight matchday 12 clash in llorin.

The Borno Army are hosts of FC IfeanyiUbah in Sunday’s Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) matchday 13 clash at the Maiduguri Township Stadium.

Mathias said though his side foresee difficult clash against the Anambra Warriors being tutored by their former coach, Ladan Bosso the Maiduguri outfit are positive for a good result in the match.

“In life there is the tough and sweet time and everybody faces it at one time or another.

“The best time to face the tough time is early in one’s life and it applies to football as well.

“It’s better to face the hard time in the early stage of a competition and as time goes on you overcome it to be better.

“Our tough time is over with the first away point at Kwara United in llorin on Sunday.

“People thought that Kwara United would beat us with as many as three or four goals but we held onto our lead until the home side got the equaliser.

“Tough time is always there in football and life but we are happy to have overcome it against Kwara United.

“Against FC IfeanyiUbah we will rather allow 90 minutes to be the best judge of the encounter.

“However, I believe in my teammates to always rise to the occasion at the right time to defend our names.

“Certainly, there will be a real fight for the maximum three points between both sides.

“FC IfeanyiUbah are coming with our former coach, Ladan Bosso who was with us for the entire last season.

“I know for sure that our worries are over and we will come out victorious at the end of the day,” said the Super Eagles goal poacher to supersport.com.
