CHAN: Eagles back in race

By Daily Sports on January 20, 2018

Youngster Sunday Faleye Friday night fired Nigeria to the top of Group C of 2018 CHAN at the expense of Libya.

The 19-year-old Faleye was the match winner for the home-based Super Eagles on 79 minutes, when he stabbed home a corner by Osas Okoro.

Nigeria now have four points from two matches, while Libya are second on three points.

Nigeria were mostly on the attack in this encounter after they had been held to a goalless draw by Rwanda on Monday.

Both the Eagles and Libya cancelled out each other in the first half and expectedly marched back into the dressing with no goals to shout about.

Nigeria were bright from the first whistle and threatened the Libyan goal as early as the second minute.

Faleye gave the home Eagles side the victory in the 77th minute.
