Enyeama Given World Cup Hope

Enyeama Given World Cup Hope As Angers SCO Interested In Signing GKFrench Ligue 1 club Angers SCO are interested in signing former Nigeria international Vincent Enyeama, few days before the winter transfer market officially opens for business.

According to L'Equipe, Angers SCO are ready to pay 500,000 to 1 million euros to acquire the goalkeeper from Lille.

Argentinian coach Marcelo Bielsa, who had declared Enyeama surplus to requirements, was recently dismissed as coach of Lille but the former Hapoel Tel Aviv star could still leave Les Dogues.

The new coach of Lille, Christophe Galtier, is expected to sanction the departure of the 35-year-old as he is fourth in the pecking order of goalkeepers at the club.

Lille have been banned from signing new players in the January transfer window by the French football financial regulatory body (DNCG), and must balance their books in the next six months or they would be automatically relegated to Ligue 2 at the end of this season.

Nigeria manager Gernot Rohr is keenly monitoring the situation of Enyeama and plans to include him on his roster for the World Cup if he joins a new club next month and is active.
