Tosin Omoyele dumps Osun Unites for Plateau United

By Daily Sports on November 1, 2017

Osun United Player of the Season Tosin Omoyele, who scored 15 goals this past season in the NNL, has arrived Jos for contract talks with champions Plateau United.

The young striker is wanted by several top NPFL clubs including Rivers United, but he has now declared he has pitched his tent with Plateau United.

He told SCORENigeria he has been swayed by the ambitions of Plateau United and how closely coach Kennedy Boboye has been monitoring him this past season.

“I decided to settle for Plateau United amid several other offers after I considered the ambition of the team as well as the way and manner the coach (Boboye) has been welcoming on phone and he has been like a father ever since he watched me play against Heartland in Owerri, he has been keeping tabs of me,” Omoyele revealed to SCORENigeria on arrival in Jos.

“I will therefore be playing my first NPFL season with Plateau United with a target to hit the ground running immediately with goals and cap it all with good performance.

“I am not under pressure to deliver as I will play my normal game.

“Scoring against Sunshine Stars both home and away in the Aiteo Cup was the tonic I needed to take the NPFL by storm,” he said.
