Why I joined El-Kanemi Warriors: Coach Imama

By Victor Enyinnaya on October 21, 2017

Newly signed El-Kanemi Warriors Technical Adviser, Coach lmama Amakapabo, has declared that the reason he join the Borno State team is to prove another point.

He said this when he was unveiled on Tuesday in Maiduguri, adding that it is a personal challenge for him to be in the team.

“You see, I have coached in the South-South when I came from the East so I decided to come here to join forces with El-Kanemi Warriors.

“No doubt, I'm happy to be here the way and manner I have been welcomed here, I feel greater than I did even in my place.

“All what the people are saying outside about Maiduguri are not what I am seeing here, therefore, it is better you come inside and tell others, that is why I chose to come and coach here.

“Again, the Governor has been doing well for the team. I also decided to join him to contribute my own to the team by coming to coach the team.

“For me, the Governor is a man of the people with all the problems in Maiduguri he stays and live with his people. Am very grateful to the club chairman, Alhaji Zanna Mala Kakaje, for bringing me here to coach this great club which I dreamt of playing for that I did not make then as a player now to coach, then I am grateful to all the management of the team for the big welcome and reception given to me,” he said.
