Iheanacho left out of Manchester City US tour squad

Manchester City have left Kelechi Iheanacho out of their touring party for the International Champions Cup matches in the USA.

Pep Guardiola’s men face Manchester United in Houston on Thursday before playing matches against Real Madrid, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United.

Iheanacho’s exclusion from the squad specifies that the 20-year-old is on his way out of Etihad Stadium, having been found surplus to requirements in the Citizens’ squad.

The Nigeria international has been linked with both Leicester City, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United and he is expected to sort out his future in the coming days.

He started just five Premier League games last season - falling behind Gabriel Jesus and Aguero in Manchester City’s frontline.
