John Ogu arrested in Isreal

By Daily Sports on July 4, 2017

Super Eagles midfielder John Ogu has been arrested at his base in Israel allegedly for driving while under the influence of alcohol.

The driver’s license of Ogu has since been suspended for 30 days.

According to Israeli publication ONE, Ogu was arrested on Friday when he failed a routine alcohol test after he was stopped by the police.

He is expected to be sanctioned by his club Hapoel Be’er Sheva after he informed them of the incident.

Ogu has got his career back on track after a torrid time in Portugal.

He helped Hapoel Be’er Sheva to the league championship back-to-back in the last two seasons and he told SCORENigeria he could have joined Spanish club Real Betis in January but his club blocked the move.
