Premier League clubs in talks with Onyekuru

By Daily Sports on May 16, 2017

Nigerian striker Henry Onyekuru is in talks with two unnamed Premier League clubs, Sky Sports has reported.

The 19-year-old Eupen star has reportedly been watched by a number of clubs this season, including Everton, Southampton and West Ham.

Onyekuru's representatives have claimed that he wants to play in England and talks with two unnamed clubs are progressing well, according to Sky Sports.

Onyekuru, who has a £6.8m release clause in his contract, has already reportedly turned down moves to Belgian giants Club Brugge and Anderlecht.

Celtic came close to signing him in January but Eupen refused to sell him during the winter transfer window.

Onyekuru has scored 20 times in the league this season playing for Eupen, who finished 13th in the 16-team Belgian First Division.

That includes eight goals in his last eight games in Playoff Group B.
