Nigeria should be wary of Mahrez-Slimani combo

By Daily Sports on November 7, 2016

Leicester City may have lost at home to West Bromwich Albion, but the combination of Algerians Riyad Mahrez and Islam Slimani must send a warning signal to Nigeria when both countries clash in a World Cup qualifier Saturday.

The tricky Mahrez weaved his magic from the right flank and he combined with the aerial power of Slimani to restore parity for the champions after bogey club had taken the lead.

The 55th minute equaliser was a goal made in Algeria – a cross from the right by Mahrez and Slimani jumped highest to nod home for hosts Leicester City

Ahmed Musa, who also featured for Leicester, showed Algeria will have to be wary of his speed down either flanks after he tormented West Brom defender Craig Dawson at will with his blistering pace.

He was later replaced in the second half.
