Isaac Danladi/NYSC Peace Cup set to kickoff

The maiden edition of the Isaac Danladi/NYSC Peace Cup is set to get underway in Lafia on Saturday, July 30, 2016 with 16 teams participating, organisers have told reporters.

Mr Jesse Adams, the Head of the Organising Committee said that the tournament would help to discover talents and also expose youths.

The University of Ilorin graduate stated that registration and screening of all participating teams has been done and dusted.

"All is set for the competition to kickoff this weekend. We are so happy with the turnout and encouraging response of teams," Adams said.

"Sixteen teams have been confirmed for the ournament and screening has been completed."

Jesse thanked Nasarawa United chairman Barrister Isaac Danladi, Nasarawa State Ministry of Youth and Sports and the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) for their support to the organisation of the event.

The opening match of the sixteen-team tourney will be between NYSC FC and TA'AL FC at the Government Science School Field on Saturday 30th July.
