Renewed Hope Of Doom, As Nigeria Broods! … Super Eagles, Falcons Foreign Coaches In My Mind!

By Victor Enyinnaya on July 10, 2023

In today’s Nigeria it is obvious that there is a fire on the mountain.  In short, no segment is intact. The posturing points to house of commotion stance. The interesting aspect of it all is that the hen has refused to come home to roost.

Nigeria of today is paying out in discordant tunes. In civilized climes, this kind of situation ought to serve as serious source of worry; but in Nigeria no way.  Sadly enough, the government in power dismisses such as noise from the frustrated even though their mandate is questionable as the matter is before the tribunal.  The ruling party as propaganda specialist is not disappointing on that angle.

Like Buhari, Tinubu is making his appointment lopsided.  His zone is getting the lion share exactly what his predecessor did.  It is no hiding fact that Nigeria is now shared between the North, South West and South South.  South east is exclusively excluded with no apology or regrets. When the jungle matures, everybody will know who owns the land!

As this page was rounding off to bed, my very mutual friend sent me clip of Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu’s call on Peter Obi to drop his Presidential Tribunal case against APC’ Bola Tinubu. The other things he said in the clip remains very irrelevant in today’s discourse.

Iwuanyanwu’s statement somehow caught me pants down but as very incurable optimists professional,  I came back stronger.  I said, why would a towering personality like Chief Iwuanyanwu be blackmailed into saying all these stuffs.  Who must have been behind this free fall of once upon a time revered Chief Emmanuel I Iwuanyanwu.

This is a man that is high flier anytime, any day.  As the President General of apex Igbo body, Ohanaeze Ndigbo which many believed was engineered by Hope Uzodinma , the infant terrible from his youth years till this moment  brought so much blood letting into once upon a time serene Imo State.

And by extension the entire Igbo land unrests have been the order of day.  Does Chief Iwuanyanwu want to rub his name on the mud?   At his age what does he want again?  At his age what is it that he cannot tell anybody to his/her face.   At his age what has he not seen?   I am not particular about his present position as PG of Hope Uzodinma’s Ohanaeze.

The apex body lost her bearing shortly after Okwesirieze Nwodo’s tenure.  A suave gentleman of vigour and candor.  A plain man in every true sense of the word.  But for Iwuanyanwu MFR, Umu Igbo are not conquered people and so are not sitting down waiting for appointment from this illegal government in Abuja.  If someone like Hope Uzodinma can influence the mountainous Iwuanyanwu not to unite Ndigbo, and give them a sense of direction required to rebuild the Igbo nation which was scattered by the Buhari administration because of the quest to penetrate the south east, too sad to note. Uzodinma is not only a bad news in Igbo land but also a black leg.

My take is that Peter Obi is not the one in the Presidential Tribunal Court but Labour Party.  Telling his story that he was eminently qualified to be President of Nigeria but was stopped by number of factors cannot be the same like Peter Obi’s.  For such statement coming from a highly placed Igbo man like him instantly placed him as a villain.

Let me make this abundantly clear, despite the way and manner Buhari treated the wise men and women from the East in his last corruption ridden despotic government for eight years, the region showed resilience, focused and stronger still leading every region in the sharply divided Nigeria in all spheres as indices are there to rely upon. Nobody will take away the God given talent of Ndigbo (Aka chukwu di ya), no matter what they do; if God is with us, nobody will be against us.  Buhari as agent of Jihadist agenda pledged to conquer Igbo people which he could not do through Hope Uzodinma, they now want to continue their move through Chief Iwuanyanwu’s Ohaneze Indigbo?

For instance at the political front, the avoidable ghost of February 25, Presidential election has bluntly refused to vanish into the thin air.  As if it has not been enough in Presidential tribunal the damming and sterling depth evidences PDP and LP candidates Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi have been chalking to prove their cases of monumental election manipulation by the ruling APC and INEC, the EU election report released last week not only added fuel or if you like impetus to the woes already being compounded by the revealing evidences before the five member panel of eminent Jurists presiding at the Presidential Tribunal.

It is instructive to note that the EU Election Monitoring Report not only rattled the Presidency that its spokesperson, Dele Henry Alake issued tensed but panic statement on the report, it is obvious that the ripples of that EU report has been re-echoing all length and breath of the country even the international community has not been left out by the wolf crying of APC and its agents.

The well acknowledged APC antics have been reinforced since EU released its report on the flawed Presidential election and sundry.  We all saw Presidency/APC sponsored demonstration at the EU office in Abuja.  That is the main characteristics of APC and its violent tasty agent/supporters.  Indirect way of staging coup against the citizens by way of hijacking, intimidation and demonstrations.  How will there be sanity in the society if people in

This is getting out of hand yet the Presidency is behaving as if nothing is loading in the polity.  The ongoing Presidential Election Tribunal has its hands full to the brim. The recent happenings pointing to the fraud that was February 25, Presidential election both nationally and internationally has placed the Nigerian Judiciary on the spot.

Therefore it is upon that revered body to call the bluff of those in corridors of power and wholly exercise the independence of the Judiciary and the acclaimed last hope of the common man to stamp its authority on this 2023 Presidential election in order to enthrone lasting democratic rule and instantly dwarf the culture of election rigging and highest bidder syndrome.

Though, it has been alleged in the pubic domain on the much that has been extended to the Judges for the sole purpose to tilt the out come of the tribunal judgment in favour of the APC and President Tinubu.  My take is all eyes are on the CJN, Justice Ariwoola and his men and women.

The country is in between the deep blue sea and safety in every segment.   Look at what is happening in our football, at the Super Eagles and Super Falcons levels.  While Daily Sports and this columnist   have been on the forefront of the non renewal of Super Eagles handler, Portuguese Jose Peresie for his low in depth technically and tactically, as if that was being solved,  Super Falcons technical adviser Waldrum fired a salvo from far away Australia where the team is preparing for the upcoming Women World Cup summit later in the Month, that he is being owed Months long salary arrears.

That has been trending and NFF has not helped matters at all.  Both parties have been trading words.  The foreigner has threatened to abandon the team if his money is not paid.  That is the kind of sub-quality men hired for our national teams.  Both Peresie and Waldrum have done far below our local hands.  Ate Stephen Keshi remains very exceptional coach.  This Amaju Pinnick who presided over the present rot in the football house frustrated Keshi during South Africa AFCON in 2013 and the late coach being very tactical personality ignored Amaju’s plots concentrated and eventually won the country’s third AFCON trophy in current history.

Amaju Pinnick with Ibrahim Gusau, current NFF President and Felix Anyansi Agwu first Vice President of the body were all instrumental to all these present rumblings and steady decline in both team today.

Home truth is that these so called foreign coaches lorded on our topmost national teams- Super Eagles and Super Falcons are  half baked and Amaju Pinnick  then led executive committee compromising the present NFF helmsman, Ibrahim Gusau are aware of their colourlessness and so would never add any value to the teams.  Their defaces on both teams are legion and glaring for all to see.

Though Nigeria polity as presently constituted are synonymous with happenings in our football and so nobody can call anyone to order therefore the ruins continues until the whole surface is submerged.

Head or tail, Keep shooting hard till next week. Meanwhile, we wait!!
