The Nigeria Football Federation becomes the first FIFA member body in Africa to implement the Domestic Transfer Matching System (DTMS).
The online platform will help the League Manage Company and NFF to manage its international and domestic transfers via one system, which is moulded on the International Transfer Matching System (ITMS), which is provided to over 6,500 clubs around the world for the cross-border transfer of players.
Aside from that, the tool will help the NFF and its clubs in Nigeria manage national and international transfers on one platform, generate transfer activity reports and have greater monitoring levels to enhance transparency and governance.
The NFF’s grip to the system was facilitated by the custodians of the NPFL, the League Management Company (LMC).
Other Confederation of African Football members are expected to implement the DTMS later this year.
