WAFCON 2022 Semi-Final Game: Nigeria Vs Morocco Most Unpredictable

Today, Nigeria will again go on in spirit search for a ticket which will enable her get to the final stage of this year’s Women Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), in far away North Africa country of Morocco.

Super Falcons of Nigeria will be up in arms against the host country, the Atlas Lionesses and from any angle one may at, it won’t be an easy match to both countries from the referee’s blast of the whistle to when he will signal the drawing of the curtain on the day’s proceedings.

Super Falcons will be going into today’s encounter with her rich credential of being the 9th Champion in the African continent. The Nigerians will also flaunt her profile as never missed the World Cup since inception.

Needless mention also that the West African nation will be in today’s semi final in far away Rabat, Morocco with some of the first rate players plying their trade in some of the best and formidable women club side team around the World which in it’s self is a moral boaster.

Of truth is that it will not be just an ordinary match, but one where every thing is at stake. For instance both countries prestige and sundry would be protected jealously.

Such trapping will make the game more difficult and mind game will also play significant role here.

Again, both countries will have sizable respect for each other; however Super Falcons will not like to let go at this stage haven come thus far through hard work, diligence, focus, determination etc.

It will no doubt be interesting to behold but one tricky competitive match where everything will be involved and evaluated for, because both sides would want to play in the final stage of the women football summit.

As host country Morocco will be backed with her vocal and partisan crowd, Super Falcons as oldies of great repute would want to play down that threat and move to win the game to attain her land mark of being a 10th winner of the fast fledging game on the soil of the continent.

We must not play down the uphill task playing host nation. The way out for the Super Falcons will be to be on their best of form, as the team was against Cameroon in the quarter-final game which ended at regulation time.

However, any of them who made less mistakes and focuses only on the positions will pick the sole ticket to the semi final game against either Zambia or South Africa.

The way and manner Super Falcons recovered from the defeat by their arch rival, South Africa, points to the obvious fact that the Nigeria squad has depth and thinking technical crew.

Pundits and analysts who follow Africa Women closely will be on their edges as the game gets underway. It is anticipated that this game will showcase tense moments and anxiety which will once again announce the arrival of Women football in Africa.

Best of football will ensue today again as the search for supremacy and intention to grab a slot in the final space of this year’s WAFCON baths.

I will put my bet on Falcons to continue in the competition to the final stage once the girls avoid complacency. Both sides are some of the best women playing teams in the continent.

Super Falcons of hope, as history is once again beaconing. Nigerian fans are yawning and urging for more!!
