Victory over Kano pillars was no fluke - Ike ThankGod

By Daily Sports on May 6, 2016

Ike ThankGod has dismissed suggestions that their 2-1 win over Kano Pillars was easy.

Paul Aigbogun's side moved away from the relegation zone thanks to ThankGod's match winner in the rescheduled Nigeria Professional Football League encounter at the Sani Abacha Stadium.

"It was a great performance from Enyimba. We are glad we won the match. But, I do not believe that it was a stroll,” Ike told Goal.

"We are a very attacking team and we know that we have to always play well, and so we are always looking for depth and space on the field. We must continue like this."

"I thank God, my coaches and team mates for the goal. it couldn't have come at a better time. I am very happy. I feel very important in this group.

"We are doing well [ahead of Sunday's game with Niger Tornadoes]. Hopefully we win again and improve our league position.

"We deserve to be at the top," he added.
