Jay Jay Okocha thrills in Paris charity match for PSG against Monaco

The Austin ‘Jay Jay’ Okocha magic lives on. In a charity game for PSG against Monaco held before thousands of fans in the French champions Paris St Germain’s Parc de Prince Stadium, Okocha reminded the PSG fans of the repertoire of skills that he possesses.

Britain’s Daily Mirror reports that “Before kick-off he flicked the match-ball up with one of his trademark rainbow kick hybrids.

“The ref loved it and so did Zlatan Ibrahimovic, clapping and smiling like, we assume, everyone else in the stadium.”

Okocha played 84 games for the Parisians and became a fans’ favourite – not just for his goals and skills but also for mentoring a young chap by the name of Ronaldinho.

He left PSG and joined Bolton Wanderers of England in 2002, where he also quickly became a cult hero for scoring crazy goals and dazzling opposition with skills.

Okocha also won an Africa Nations Cup title for Nigeria in Tunisia in 1994 and featured in three senior World Cups for Nigeria.
