Falcons legend Perpetual Nkwocha weds heartthrob on Easter Monday

Former Super Falcons captain, Perpetual Nkwocha is set to quit spinsterhood as she weds her heart­throb of many years, Ernest Nwufoh on Easter Monday

Nkwocha, who was recently elevated to the position of assistant coach of the Super Falcons, told The AUTHORITY exclusively that plans have been concluded for the wedding which holds on March 28 (Easter Monday)

The four time African women footballer of the year said that the event will take place at Mount Carmel Catholic Church Emekuku in Owerri, Imo State, with the reception at her family compound in Amankwu Umuhu in Ngor Okpala Local Government Area also in Imo State.

Perpetual whose fiance, Earnest, hails from Ifitte-Nibo in Awka Local Government Area, Anambra State said that her happiness will climax after signing the dotted lines.

“Marriage is a blessing from God, and it gives you more relevance in the society. I am happy that I am marrying a man of my choice, who I love so much. By the grace of God our love will be forever.

She said: “Everything has been put in place to make it a successful occasion. Most of my colleagues and friends shall be coming from different parts of the world; so we have tried to put logistics in place in order to make them comfortable.”

Nkwocha quit professional football with Sunnana SK of Sweden in 2014. She participated in four World Cups and seven CAF Women’s championship for Nigeria, where she won several awards. (The AUTHORITY)
