All is set for the official swearing-in of Hon. Tonobok Okowa as reappointed Chairman of Delta State Sports Commission (DSSC). The ceremony holds by 1pm today, Tuesday, 11/ 2/2020, at the Government House Unity Hall in the state capital, Asaba.

The soft-spoken Tonobok Okowa has congratulated all who emerged as the new board members with him. He also thanked the outgoing board members that included Eddington Kuejubola, Neville Ambakederemor and Chinoye Daphey, whose support and experience, he said, made Delta State to retain the number position in sports in Nigeria all through their time in service.

“This is a day the Lord has done. I must thank the outgoing board members for their tireless efforts to place Delta state high all through the years we served together and also congratulate those who emerged with me. There is more work to be done,” he said.

The new board will have their first real assignment in the forthcoming Edo 2020 National Sports Festival which will kick off on March 20, 2020.
