NNL Week 2: Bendel Insurance Target Away Win Against Bayelsa United For Deputy Governor

By Obaseki Anthony on December 1, 2019

Bendel Insurance FC of Benin are ready for their second game of the 2019/2020 Nigeria National League (NNL) and will be gunning for away win at Bayelsa United today, Sunday, December 1, 2019.

The Benin Arsenal, who started the league on an impressive note by spanking J. Atete FC 2-0 in Benin last weekend, would want to fight for a win and take the three points to Benin as a birthday gift for their team chief motivator and chairman, Rt Hon Comrade Philip Shaibu, the Deputy Governor of Edo State, who is marking his 50th birthday today.

The Insurance new handler coach Bernard Ogbe has charged his boys to settle for nothing less than three points, home or away as he continues with his assignment to rebuild and return the Benin arsenals to the elite division.

Insurance are placed second on the NNL Group B 2 table due to a goal difference behind Crown FC, who recorded a 3-1 victory against their first match.

The Bayelsa United vs Bendel Insurance clash is scheduled to kick off at 4:00 p.m. at the Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa. It promises to be an interesting game.
