Evander Holyfield reveals his thoughts about Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder

By Daily Sports on August 12, 2018

All-time boxing legend Evander Holyfield has gone public with his thoughts on two of the modern game's most fearsome competitors as they prepare to go head-to-head.

The 55-year-old pundit has made it clear that he sees no distinct winner between Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder, should the two ever actually meet in the ring.

Wilder, the American boxing star, has established his name as one of the top names in the modern sport of boxing, boasting an undefeated record of 40 wins, with an astonishing 39 of them coming from KO victories.

Wilder's desire to face off against Joshua has not been hidden from the media whatsoever, with the American keen on fighting him in any venue, even agreeing to travel to the UK for the opportunity to square off against the Brit.

Joshua, one of England's most coveted boxers in the modern era, has made quite the name for himself with his large 6'6" stature and undefeated record as well, winning 21 fight, 20 of which came from KO.

A fight between these two would most certainly be a blockbuster event as one of these great competitors would lose their long-standing undefeated career record, and also their title(s).

The fight is expected to be so well fought, that even boxing legend Holyfield cannot choose a winner out of the two.

Discussing the chances of both fighters,

Holyfield said, whilst speaking to Fight Hype: “The boxing game is a young man’s game, but one of the biggest parts of it is can you handle the pressure.

"That’s the difference between Deontay and Joshua in my opinion...Joshua may get things out better and be able to articulate and things, but we going to see if you can fight like that.

"I think it’s going to be a great fight and when a fight is great, you don’t know who gonna win."

Holyfield talked up the ability of Joshua, but did not leave out his American counterpart from making a huge impression on the fight.

The match-up against these two superstars, which could be one of the year's biggest events, will most certainly go down as one of the most exciting head-to-head bouts in recent history.

Only time will tell whose fabled undefeated record will go up in flames when the two of these iconic figures of the sport come together. (www.givemesport.com)
