Napoli coach Ancelotti on Liverpool thrashing: Better to be fool now than in a month

By Daily Sports on August 6, 2018

Napoli coach Carlo Ancelotti has urged fans not to panic after Saturday's thrashing by Liverpool.

Napoli were thumped 5-0 in Dublin by a rampant Reds.

But Ancelotti insisted: "The five goals conceded bother us, losing always burns, but we tried to play openly, we needed it, we showed difficulties especially on the way out of the halfway field and with their re-starts.

"We need some time for everything to become natural, but we did something good, especially at 2-0. However, better to be a fool now than in a month.

"We have to do more in the construction of the maneuvers, which must be faster and instead was slow and dirty. They have moved well, they have no faults, there is trust and enthusiasm, they remain after this defeat.

"Napoli has values, the problems we will solve them. The market? The renewal of (Kalidou) Koulibaly is important, shows how much this club wants to do well and has maintained the promise not to sell the important players.

"This team is competitive. Is it complete? Yes, it satisfies me." (Tribal Football)
