Ndidi ready to die for Nigeria against Iceland

By Daily Sports on June 22, 2018

Wilfred Ndidi says Nigeria are ready to die for the cause as they attempt to keep their World Cup alive in Russia.

The Leicester City midfielder and his City team-mates Ahmed Musa and Kelechi Iheanacho all featured as the Super Eagles lost their opening game 2-0 to Croatia and now face Iceland in a do-or-die game, and Ndidi has taken the high stakes quite literally.

'”Even though we are players, we are also Nigerians,” he said on the Nigerian twitter feed.

“We have put the loss behind us, we will give everything we have in the next game, we will die there in the next game.''

Nigeria will face Argentina in the final game in their group hoping to still have a chance of reaching the last 16. (Leicester Mercury)
